Presidential Choices

Regarding Obama:

Obama Would Consider Gore for Major Post
At a town-hall meeting, Obama was asked if he would tap the former vice president for his Cabinet, or an even higher level office, to handle global warming.

"I would," Obama said. "Not only will I, but I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this problem. He's somebody I talk to on a regular basis. I'm already consulting with him in terms of these issues, but climate change is real. It is something we have to deal with now, not 10 years from now, not 20 years from now."
That is actually an indirect response meaning he would consider Gore as the VP. That would be a long shot but I like Obama's politically correct answer in that he is trying to energize, attract, and embrace the Gore for President crowd, which is a large block of the Democrats.

Regarding McCain:

McCain Compiles List of Running Mates
Early speculation on a running mate has focused on his former rivals for the presidential nomination, particularly former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, as well as a handful of sitting Republican state chief executives, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota among them.

McCain also might look toward the business sector. He holds Frederick Smith, the head of FedEx, in high regard and frequently praises him. Another name that's been mentioned is Rob Portman of Ohio, a former congressman who was one of President Bush's budget directors.
Will McCain follow the model set down by the horrible Republican Presidents Nixon and Bush Jr. by adding a right wing militant enforcer like Agnew or Cheney or will he follow in the model of Bush Sr. with a Dan Quayle, a butterball lightning rod.

No more need to mention Clinton, I believe she is cooked. Polls show Obama closing the gaps for April 22, and at this point the nomination is Obama's to lose.
