Loyalty Day

As you may recall, the President has designated October 9 as Leif Erikson Day.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim October 9, 2007, as Leif Erikson Day. I call upon all Americans to observe this day with appropriate ceremonies, activities, and programs to honor our rich Nordic-American heritage.
President Bush continues to fill up the calendar with many new and appealing holidays.

On April 23rd, President Bush declared that May 1st will now be Loyalty Day.
Americans believe that every man, woman, and child has unalienable rights, dignity, and matchless value. Advancing these ideals was the honorable vision of our Founders and the mission that helped shape this great country. On Loyalty Day, we celebrate the legacy of freedom and the shared ideals that bind us together.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 1, 2008, as Loyalty Day. I call upon all people of the United States to join in support of this national observance and to display the flag of the United States on Loyalty Day as a symbol of pride in our Nation.
I'm not sure what the proper attire is for Loyalty Day, perhaps its simply a flag pin worn on a prominent place on the upper body garment.

I know of a great place where you can buy Viking metal domed horn helmets for Leif Erikson Day though...
