Yahoo: US GIs in Iraq suffer worst week of '08
A roadside bomb killed an American soldier in Baghdad on Saturday, capping the bloodiest week for U.S. troops in Iraq this year.The April 8th Senate hearings were designed to give Americans the sense that the surge is a success. Simultaneously Americans were told that the troops must stay at present levels. Bush immediately followed with a directive to keep the troops in Iraq at present levels and to take off the table any idea or movement that troops would be coming home.
The death raised to at least 19 the number of American troopers killed in Iraq since last Sunday.
With the economy tanking, Americans have placed their concerns onto their bank statements and their shrinking investments. We have a one two punch, a failed war that is costing massive treasure and we have a broken economic system that is losing value day by day in spite of attempts to manipulate the economic mood and consequently market investment with positive jolts from various business sectors and the Fed.
