AP: The oldest Americans are also the happiest, research finds
While younger blacks and poor people tended to be less happy than whites and wealthier people, those differences faded as people aged. There is a line in a Buddhist prayer that goes - "May all sentient beings have happiness and the cause of happiness."
In general, the odds of being happy increased 5 percent with every 10 years of age.
The Buddhists also teach that the line can be reduced to one word - love.
