Party On and On and On

What do you know, turns out that if the upper 5% of the population has most of the money, then only they can retire, or run for president.

Not enough savings, are you kidding me. Meet me on the street in 15 years, I'll be the one with the paisley cardboard shelter.

Yahoo: Laboring longer a growing trend for Americans
While the average retirement age remains 63, that standard may soon be going the way of the gold watch — a trend expected to accelerate as baby boomers close in on retirement without sufficient savings.

Yes, in a generation the Repuglirats returned almost all of us back to the way it was in the 19th century. Most of us will work ( if were lucky) till we die because pensions are thing of the past as are unions ( except public service unions) and SS will probably dry up or be trashed through inflation anyway.

A lot of seniors around here get on Section 8.

This is going to be a tricky thing, because a lot of people can't afford to retire. We know why, but we have to figure out how to do it.

When u fig. it out let me know! I'm going to be 60 and employers just laugh at my resume. My education now is ancient and my experience in this culture for the most part useless. Like all the old building around here I'm just another tear down. But, how does one live with this reality? The only thing I have going for me is my thrift and a relatively young wife (50). It's daunting.
