Rasmussen - Obama 50% - McCain 45%

What exactly is John McCain doing here. It would appear that he is trying to play president in a situation where the existing president does not have any more power. Is this some kind of revenge on Bush by McCain.

This is very screwy. Something is going here on that we are not privy to. A deal had been worked out, McCain comes in and the deal is broken. What exactly is being represented by McCain's interests, and why is the American public caught in the headlights.

We feel like we are being held hostage by McCain.

Its odd to see Rasmussen, the normally conservative pollster, showing Obama with a 5 point lead over McCain. Of all the polls, Rasmussen's will show the slightest advantage for the democrat. Gallup on the other hand has it tied, while CNN also has Obama up by 5.

Rasmussen: Barack Obama attracting 50% of the vote while John McCain earns 45%.

About as plausible as any thing I've seen in the news lately.

The world waits! For what I have no idea? If it's clear headed leadership that's still 4 mos. away when O takes office. It's obvious what we need now is somebody bright and even tempered. The times ahead are going to be harrowing for us all and we do not need a hot-head like mcsame at the helm. One dim-witted fighter pilot is enough per century.

Yes, at this juncture there is no credible leadership on the economy, absolutely nothing from the administration.

In a way I would prefer everything to go completely to hell in a hand basket over the next four months with NOTHING getting done, then to have Bushco work on it.

Your right. The man and his minions have the anti-midas touch don't they? The one success the conservatives can count is how totally they've managed to brain wash a significant portion of the population these last 30 yrs.
