I guess McCain's horrendous response to the economic mess and his tacit support for deregulation through the last decade was enough to increase his standing in the polls.
McCain should simply throw away the script, posture for war, give three word answers on his remedy for the economy, and then show images of himself napping. No doubt the American public in their deep wisdom will then and only then drive him into the 55% territory.
Gallup: Obama 48%, McCain 44%
