McCain's Ludicrous Blame Game

Republicans decide they can't vote for the bail out because Nancy Pelosi made an alleged partisan speech.

Frank goes on TV and rips that notion up, he handily turns the Republicans into a laughing stock.

Setting aside the validity or non validity of the bail out for a moment, both Obama and McCain were going to vote in favor of the bail out.

Obama delivered a majority of the Democrats to vote yes for the bail out.

McCain delivered nada.

Now McCain is blaming Obama for McCain's failure to bring the Republicans to the "yes" table.

The anger and frustration that McCain is experiencing surrounds his inability to summon his side, the Republicans, to the table to vote yes.

The episode shows that McCain is lacking in leadership because he did not bring the Republicans in to approve the bail out bill.

Tough times for McCain, he is looking rather ineffective just like his role model Bush.

Now all of this runs alongside the bail out which many of us were finding to be quite lacking and questioned its necessity.

So there appears to be a political shortfall benefit to the failure of the bail out bill to pass - McCain appears like he is unable to deliver the goods, Obama can deliver the goods.

There's always a silver lining.

Reuters: McCain's camp blames Obama on bailout failure
A majority of House Democrats supported the proposal and the majority of House Republicans opposed it. A total of 133 House Republicans voted against it, with 95 Democrats opposing the plan.
This is a very amusing statement. It implies that Obama is responsible for Republicans voting against the bill. John, Obama is a Democrat.
