Blackwater won't allow arrests
A defiant Blackwater Chairman Erik Prince said yesterday he will not allow Iraqi authorities to arrest his contractors and try them in Iraq's faulty justice system.
"We will not let our people be taken by the Iraqis"
Just a guess here, but I'm betting a mercenary working against the USA that gets caught, is going to end up in Gitmo. Would it be safe to call Gitmo a faultless part of the US justice system.
Also he contends that "we" will not allow the Iraqis to try the accused Blackwater mercenaries. Would that "we" be the USA or the CEO himself.
The eventual ending to this unfortunate part of Bush presidential history will have the same resonance as the Scooter Libby trial and pardon. Blackwater will be pardoned. They may not work in Iraq anymore, but this particular mess will get swept under the rug.
