State Dept. Ousts Its Chief of Security

Richard J. Griffin...was told by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's deputy, John D. Negroponte, to leave office by Nov. 1...
Blackwater is paid in the range of $1,000 per mercenary soldier per day. source That would add up to a wage of $ 300,000. per year.
A private in the US military earns about $16,000. per year.
Explain to me again why the military needs to be privatized? Where is the cost saving strategy?
Bottom line: This little firing exercise reeks of passing the blame, and creating a smokescreen publicity diversion.

No cost saving. Its about turning the military into a private right wing controlled milita that we all pay for. Its also about being able to get around military law and Int'l norms. Its about turning the U.S. military into a latter day version of the Visigoths or the SS. To the BV$Hites "private" is the magic word here. If its "private" that means we ( the rich and BIG Corps) can do whatever we want to whomever we want with NO oversight!
This mercenary army deal is going to be a real evolving issue into the future. They already are being used in this country.
The right loves milita justice. Hang em high! It used to be called lynch mob rule.
