The Winner Is...

As far as Iowa goes, there are only three relevant points that I see. This is regardless of the results.

First, it generally comes down to 'electability.' People will vote for somebody that they think can actually win for their party. Most people will do that. Quite a few will not do that, but they are in the minority. As far as history goes the most electable looking candidate is Edwards. The most electable looking Republican is Romney. This is superficial but never underestimate the superficiality of voters. Look who won the last time.

Second, the Democratic candidate that can withstand the inevitable swift boating attack that will come forth shortly, is Clinton. She has been attacked non stop for the past 15 years. The girl has a thick skin. The attacks have made her immune. She has been inoculated by the swift boat virus and her antibodies are real springy and resilient. She will be able to take it.

Third, every Republican candidate is a Bush clone, excepting Ron Paul who doesn't have a chance. The Republicans from Giuliani to Romney to Huckabee to McCain are all about the war on terror times two and/or Christian fundamentalism with one of those two in priority one or two. Giuliani will be Bush times 5, McCain - Bush times 1, etc. They all embrace neo-conservativism followed by privatization, reduction in Constitutional rights and the rest of the so called Bush Doctrine. God help us. It doesn't matter which one wins, its only about degrees of God help us.

I like John Edwards, personally. I think a populist message will resonate this yr. as the economy tanks big time. He's also already been vetted by the Rt. Wing noise machine big time and come up smelling like roses. Billary has already had her/their 8 yrs. and they're foul ups handed America over to the neo-con trash, Christotaliban, plus she's 100% for BIG CORP. Amerika. Obama is my 2nd choice, smart, young and capable.

I am leaning towards Edwards myself.

I don't like Obama, I don't think he's electable. Put Obama up against Romney, Romney wins.

I think Hillary is electable but the worst candidate of all. Her support of the Iraq war lost me a long time ago.

If Edwards doesn't get it, I vote third party or not at all.
