Air

This seems to good to be true. Cars that work on compressed air. Instead of gas, you would fill the car up with air. The cars are already in use around the world.

What will we drive when the oil runs out?
The air is stored in tanks which, when released, drives pistons which propel the vehicles at up to 75mph for up to 120 miles. While the idea has helped cut pollution in cities such as Mexico City and Cape Town, critics point out that electricity is still needed to compress the air.
The Air Car
After fourteen years of research and development, Guy Negre has developed an engine that could become one of the biggest technological advances of this century. Its application to Compressed Air Technology(CAT) vehicles gives them significant economical and environmental advantages. With the incorporation of bi-energy (compressed air + fuel) the CAT Vehicles have increased their driving range to close to 2000 km with zero pollution in cities and considerably reduced pollution outside urban areas.
I'm curious to know how these vehicles stand up to accidents, collisions, etc.
