Terrorism and Civil Liberties

Remember how President Bush was viewed and promoted as the one who could provide protection for all of America from the terrorists.

Remember how this was one of the key selling points for his re-election in 2004.

Well, this is not so anymore.

U.S. Upset with Bush on Terrorism, Civil Liberties
Many Americans are dissatisfied with the way their current government has handled two issues, according to a poll by Harris Interactive. 59 per cent of respondents have a negative view of the way the current administration has fought terrorism, and 57 per cent are dissatisfied with how it has protected civil liberties.
This particular poll also goes into the Republican administration's protection of civil liberties.

Using the words of our Vice-President, "simply stated" the Bush administration has actively worked to remove civil liberties.

It would appear that the sole leg holding up the Bush legacy has rotted away.

Now if we could only make the rest of his body go away.

At least figuratively he is becoming more and more invisible.

Bush is the reason why the elections dominate the news. People are looking past him.
