Definitely one of the better second tire candidates - it just was not in the cards.
Richardson ends presidential bid
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson ended his campaign for the presidency Wednesday after twin fourth-place finishes that showed his impressive credentials could not compete with his rivals' star power.
Richardson planned to announce the decision Thursday, according to two people close to the governor with knowledge of the decision. They spoke on a condition of anonymity in advance of the governor's announcement.

Good man. Americans don't elect these kinds of guys anymore. We prefer fluff. Thats why Reagan, BV$H 1, Clinton and BV$H 2 got elected.
I know, I heard talking heads going on about how intelligence wasn't really necessary anymore for a president. All you needed was street smarts. The right wing has lost its freekin collective mind.
Has it? Vipers like BV$H 2 get elected for just that reason. He has the street smarts of a Wood Rat.
