Surprisingly he says its better than no bill. Okay that is a step, not sure I agree but...
One thing he points out is that some who have existing conditions that would exclude them from care might now find some insurance. I guess that is something. I mean the thing is there, its like the Shock and Awe, no escaping it right now.
Raw Story: Chomsky: Health bill sustains the system’s core ills
"The bill gives away a lot to insurance companies and big pharmaceutical corporations..."
"If I were in Congress," he said, "I’d probably hold my nose and vote for it, because the alternative of not passing it is worse, bad as this bill is. Unfortunately, that’s the reality."

I guess freed from the political part we can afford to be a bit more critical and that explains so many Progressives saying yes, but look at the 30 or so Blue Dog dems. that sided with the Gopers. Are these people really Dems.?
Have you seen Frum calling this the worst Republican defeat since the 60s. Limbaugh said he would move out of the country if HCR passed.
Politically the Corp.Dems. won. But the whole Reform and debate was done within a Right wing Corporatist frame. Obama and the Dems. basically tossed all the meaningful reforms off the table right at the start. That sounded more like a Corp. directive from the "Fascist ruling counsel" that really runs America then from a President. The real ? is who really pulls the strings in this country nowadays? Obama seems to be acting more like a young VP for PR and Corp. affairs then the CEO of USA INC.
See what you can dig up. Who made this mess happen.
Whatever.
