Tokyo Stocks Gain

Here in NY we get to see the stock trends in Asia for Tursday on Wednesday night - so go time zones.

Right now its looking like the drop in oil prices is going to continue a little bit more and consequently many stocks will gain. But as we know this could radically change very fast.

We are still expecting to see more insolvent banks come forward, so we are told. Will oil hold at present levels? I would bet no, but hopefully the rises will be a bit slower and more proportionate.

Since rebounding Tuesday, Tokyo stocks have been gathering steam, helped by the continued drop in New York crude oil futures and easing credit worries, following the U.S. House of Representatives' approval Wednesday of a rescue plan for troubled mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
