Iraqi Forces Hunt Al Qaeda

Gulf News: Iraq begins crackdown on Al Qaida-linked militants
Iraqi forces began a major crackdown on Al Qaida-linked insurgents and militias in the northeastern Diyala province on Tuesday, officials said.
The article provides a clue to yesterday's horrendous suicide bombings-
Al Qaida has increasingly used female suicide bombers because they are less likely to be as thoroughly searched.

But, were winning! We were winning the Vietnam War right up till the day the war ended. The Germans's were winning WW2 right up till May 7th 1945 as well and didn't u know Japan actually won?

I can't believe they packaged this win or lose mentality particularly at this point in the war/occupation. I mean win? Win what? Lose? Lose what?

Its a struggle, to contain the human losses, reconcile the secular groups going on 6 years of civil war along with deep seated hatreds - yea that's going to happen soon, and then just to restore a semblance of society.

Anybody that thinks this is GIs beating Nazis and signing a peace treaty is missing 10 top floors.
