Gang Violence in Norway

Gang violence is a terrible thing. Its like a great degrading virus that is infecting people all over the world.

We read about Russian gangs who were going after immigrants for allegedly taking away jobs. There's always an excuse.

On Democracy Now, we heard about a group of white kids in Pennsylvania killing a Mexican immigrant.

Clearly the problem is wide and extensive. Sorry to say, but America seems to be leading the trend and demonstrating how its done.

I believe that gang violence is a vicious act of terrorism. This is the intent, right? The intention is to instill fear and make people go away, leave the community. If we are in the midst of such sentiment, such fear of terrorism, then how come gang violence is not viewed as a terrorist act.

Yahoo: 23 wounded in Norway refugee centre attack

Twenty-three people were wounded when a gang of 40-50 men armed with steel bars and machetes attacked residents at a refugee centre in Norway late on Thursday, officials said on Friday.
