Obama Talks with Former Insurgents

The talk is that Obama is completely dominating the news with his visits to Afghanistan and Iraq.

McCain allegedly is suggesting that he will pick his VP this week. This may be true, but it is being done to divert attention away from Obama. The VP talk may only be a diversion. Such is politics and with the advisers that McCain is using, we expect dirty tricks 24/7.

With Maliki stating that he supports Obama's troop withdrawal plan, the Democratic nominee is looking better and better.

Now Obama is meeting with former insurgents. This creates the sense that he is completely involved in Iraq. We cannot imagine Bush doing the same. We get the sense that Bush is running the war/occupation on remote control.

Already with these visits, Obama appears to be way ahead in the Iraq and Afghanistan foreign policy comparison with either Bush or McCain. There is the idea that Obama is a nuts and bolts leader getting right into the fray.

The comparison leaves Bush literally in the dust and demonstrates what a real leader can do. America has not had a true leader in the past 8 years. Bush's deficiencies are only magnified with Obama's presence.

Breitbart.com: Obama visits former insurgent hotbed in Iraq
Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama traveled to a former hotbed of the Sunni insurgency on Tuesday for talks with tribal leaders who joined the fight against al-Qaida in Iraq and now seek a deeper role in Iraq's political future.
