WaPo: McCain Makes Significant Gains in Key Battleground States
Republican John McCain has quickly closed the gap between himself and Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama in several key battleground states even as the Arizona senator struggles to break through the wall-to-wall coverage of Obama's trip to Europe and the Middle East this week.
National polling suggests Obama retains a steady but statistically significant edge. In the most recent Washington Post/ABC News survey, Obama held a 50 percent to 42 margin over McCain; in the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, released last night, Obama leads 47 percent to 41.

It's un-real isn't it? After 8 horrific yrs. of Republican mis-rule. With country's economy going south and our world standing in the toilet , yet over 40% of the voters haven't had enough yet? Makes u wonder doesn't it? Just keep this in mind at the end of WW2 with Germany on its knees and in ruins the Germans' stood in those ruins and wept when they heard their darling leader AH was dead. They shed no tears for the millions they gassed and murdered. This is the same type of thinking that is going on in the heads of so many in this darkening land. Its a testament of how deeply the poison has eaten into the American soul ( what's left of it!)
Its mind numbing, head slapping unreal.
They must be using the thought wave scrambling death ray again. I hate that.
