Time Out

If you follow the link you can read very recent remarks made by President Bush. He was addressing a conservative group. He was very well received.

February 8: Remarks by the President to the Conservative Political Action Conference
"And I appreciate the fact you invited Vice President Cheney here. (Applause.) He is the best Vice President in history. (Applause.)"
No comment here, just a keen interest in hastening the next year till Cheney is gone.
"...and during that time we have stood together and we have advanced a philosophy of freedom and responsibility that's made our nation a better place and a stronger place."
Indeed, and the wealthiest upper 1% of the population would certainly agree. The bottom 99% however, have a slightly different take. We have seen the erosion of democracy at all levels, an unprecedented level of corruption, mismanagement on all levels, and ideologically driven right wing militant extremists placed into high level positions in all phases of government. The country is in disarray.
A lot has happened over eight years -- that was the last time I spoke to you, was eight years ago. And we've seen vigorous debates -- a lot of debates -- on nearly every conceivable issue: matters that affected the prosperity and peace.
Indeed, prospects for peace are more remote than at any time I can remember. The economy is tanking. Stocks have lost billions upon billions of dollars of value, meaning everyone's net worth has taken a hit. Unemployment is up, companies are laying off workers by the thousands. Foreclosures are off the charts. An elective war begun through a well choreographed manipulation of outrageous lies continues to drain the resources of the country, both lives and material wealth. This is only part of the Bush legacy.

Sorry Bush, you will always be in a fantasy bubble. The are no words that adequately describe your woeful level of ineptitude, arrogantly pushed upon an American public.

I've been inside the "bubble" the 1% live and its pretty scary. These folks don't get it and will honestly never get it. They really believe that "everyone" has done well under this regime. No matter what facts or figures you lay on them to the contrary they have the nerve to somehow always pt. at someone else as the problem. For them its worked they have it all and don't want anything to change. Why? because change for them can only be bad. Why change when you've won?

I can understand fundies not believing in facts or figures. That would be about par.

But anybody else? Bad bad voodoo.

These are shallow shallow people with little or no social conscience. They believe that no such thing as a community exits, until of course they need it. Many even most are born wealthy and never step into the real world because they are from day one insulated from it by money. A contempt develops in these social retards for other people. BV$H is a great example of them.

That makes sense and goes along with the impressions I've had. It explains Bush.

I guess that would be the definition of tragedy - when humans and humanity stop intersecting.

Look, lets be honest these 'rich" retards have been with us from the start. Its just at times they manage to weasal their way to the top and thats were the real problems start. As the song lyric goes and we can see with BV$H ,"The money will only get you so far."
