Maybe yes? Maybe No? His big problem is the stentch surrounding the corpse of the Reptile party and its fearful leader Emperor BV$H. As 2006 showed they can be beaten if popular sentiment is strong enough. Another factor is that many Reptile conservatives HATE McCain and this might mean a good part of the Reptile base will stay home. Then he'll need every Indie ballot and thats problematic as well, because of his strong support for the occupation of Iraq and the so called "war on terror."

I was listening to Democracy Now this morning and they had on a McCain biographer.
McCain is seen as a 'maverick.' He's popular because of it. He goes his own way, sometimes, this is his career in the Senate. Iraq is only one part of his career. That's how its getting played. He appeals to a lot of liberals and especially males. He goes on John Stewart and Stewart treats him like a god. He is not viewed as the establishment Republican, he's more viewed as an independent. McCain even considered becoming a Democrat in 2000.
The more I think about it the more it makes sense to me, but I hope I'm wrong.
People are seriously ticked off @ the Reptiles this yr. The economy is tanking as we chat and lots of people are going to be jobless by fall and homeless as well. Emperor BV$H's little stimulus package isn't going to stop the implosion of an economy puffed on economic cocaine or cheap credit. People's credit cards and equity lines are maxed out. Its over for the short term and maybe the long. This country is going down the tubes and BV$H and his gang are over fucking joyed about it! Why? Because they HATE everything about this country starting with its Constitution etc..et al. They're model for Gov't is a mix between Fascist Itlay/Spain of the 40's and the 80's kult movie "BRAZIL." Their enemy has been the so called middle class and they're hell-bent on destroying it. They have the money and the power as you've pointed out and they NEVER ever want to have to give it back.
Nevertheless, unless they're prepared to steal another election I think we can beat em even McCain. His record of the last 8 yrs. is NOT one of being a maverick. He's bowed and scraped to Emperor BV$H and done this evil bastards' bidding the whole way. He's a fraud and you can bet if Hillbilly is the nominee they won't be polite pointing this sordid little detail out to the voters.
GK, part of the reason why I write that McCain will win is to try to reverse my bad vodoo. I picked Gore, Kerry etc. etc. So I'm just trying to pick the loser by saying they are going to win.
Anyhow, the soft part of the electorate are the indies. The Republicans will want a Republican, Dems want a Dem. Nothing new here.
Its the Indies that sway the vote. Ultimately Limbaugh and all that right wing anti McCain noise shit heads will fall in behind McCain. I will bet everything and the house that McCain picks an ultra conservative neo con shithead as VP. Romney fits the bill.
The question is how many Indies go to Billarybama, how many go to Saint McCain.
McCain has a lot of fans. He isn't quite as hated as they say. He will get some Indies but how many. I totally fucking hope he loses.
Yes the economy tanks but they won't blame McCain.
