Apparently, the Democrats have shot themselves not only in the foot but the posterior as well.
The presidential primary votes of Florida and Michigan are now needed to boost Obama or Clinton into the presidential candidacy proper.
Michigan and Florida did not obey the party rules by moving their respective primaries up to earlier dates. Now the obey or you break the law attitude has come back to haunt us. Intentions are a great thing, but pragmatic practicality is very close to the core of politics.

...official figures showed 63,000 lost jobs in February.Those figures are always lowballed. Politicos always try to minimize the damage, otherwise they are soon unemployed.
This news will take two directions. Bush will talk phony Texas style jive and do his infuriating little hat dance around the topic. Whatever he says will be completely off the mark and have no relevance.
Then Wall Street will react and stocks probably will continue to slide.

That is an interesting point. It would be worth it to do some light research googling on Florida and why they are so freeking corrupt. I'm making a note of that.
Fla. fucked up an election like the 2000 one back in the 19th century. Check it out very similar situation Blaine lost that one but also won the popular vote. Why? because of some fuck up concerning Fla.
Makes me think about how some present day problems are simply leftovers from decades ago, ripening until they completely screw us over now. Procrastination and utter lack of foresight seem to be American elite essentials.
Some guy was on Democracy now talking about Mossadeq overthrown in Iran in the 50s. I knew it was an important piece but he was saying it was probably the missing link. All a result of Dulles, who is one of the archetypes for the neo cons, complete whack job up to his eyeballs in corporate money and right wing craziness.
