Back to Normal

Bush: Iraq is returning to normal
President Bush, saying that "normalcy is returning back to Iraq," argued Thursday that last year's U.S. troop "surge" has improved Iraq's security to the point where political and economic progress are blossoming as well.
He is correct, Iraq is returning to the type of 'normalcy' that Bush's occupation started - more death, destruction, and pure chaos.

CNN: Analysis: Iraqis' Basra fight not going well
The Iraqi military push into the southern city of Basra is not going as well as American officials had hoped, despite President Bush's high praise for the operation, several U.S. officials said Friday.
I get this picture of George Bush, humming and whistling tunes with his fingers plugging his ears as his advisers attempt to give him the latest Iraq news.

Perhaps Bush should plan an American surge to get this country back to normal as well.
