I got news for the media, they might not even get a second chance in 2020. My guess is were heading for a Putin style regime with a heavily restricted Press and a "managed" Internet and this is going to happen gradually and mostly out of view. The Authoritarians are back BIGLY and they will move to shut down dissent first and foremost. They hate hate hate the Constitution more then a vampire hates sunlight. Why the iodiots that voted for this guy think for some reason now things are going to be done out in plain view now is beyond me? Didn't they get why this guy didn't want to show his tax returns? If he and them go for the jugular ( the 1st amendment) I won't be surprised one bit. Expect a law from his Congress that will first ban porn all of it and then it will go after any political sites on Nat'l security reasons. People and reporters are going to jaillots of them if they try and dissent from what this crowd wants. No more Mr. Nice guy. This is going to be NIXON on steriods. Plus, now they have the means to almost instantly know everything about everyone in real time. Handing this kind of power to a guy like this and the Fascists he's surrounded himself with is an invitation to mayhem. I hope the ACLU is ready, because this guys mentor was none other then head McCarthy lawyer Roy Cohn. Let the witch hunts begin.

Yes, Trump has claimed that the media is dishonest and people have used Nazi slogans in support of Trump's media views. Violence really works to silence the critics, because fear is a real silent prison as it were. It keeps people contained. One thing though, is unlike the time of Nixon, we are far fr more advanced with communication. Suppress the internet, maybe yeah, smart phones, maybe. There's a lot of commerce that happens now via the internet. You want a revolution, take away Americans' money.
