The Market On Wednesday

Good morning. It is 48 degrees and overcast here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a cloudy day with temperatures in the mid 50s this afternoon. Well the news is percolating with talk of Trump infighting in the selection of people to run the new presidential administration. People have mentioned to me that the feel of this is more about control rather than leadership.

At 9:20 a.m. ET futures are moderately down and the price of oil per barrel is down after rising above $45 over the last 24 hours. The market is poised to open moderately lower.

It seems like a rather unremarkable nuts and bolts type of day. There's more corporate reports, oil swelled on talk of an unlikely but wished for Saudi production limitation deal, and since Trump has been elected, the DOW is near 19,000. That is record territory.
