The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 46 degrees and cloudy here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a rainy day with temperatures in the 50s this afternoon. It's interesting several of my friends are not in the least bit interested in watching the news on TV or reading newspapers and such. They are still fed up/depressed with the results of the election. Out of sight, out of mind perhaps, except that the decisions our new president is making will most definitely affect our lives. I've been taking a much lighter touch as well. We're still searching for a little silver lining.

At 9:30 a.m. ET futures are slightly higher and the price of oil per barrel is down. The maker is poised to open slightly higher.

The thought is that the post election day boom is over and now we are facing an erratic market until it what exactly Trump is going to do becomes clearer. Good luck with that.

Reuters: Wall St. set to open little changed; oil skids
