Mars is a dead rock. if there's any life there its probably deep underground in some still existing thermal vents. The surface is bone dry and it's bathed in radiation because the atmosphere is too thin to stop it and there's no Ozone layer, plus Mar's ancient magnetic field is gone because Mars is dead as a doornail. If there's life beyond a few possible microbes on Mars it's on the Water moons of the outer solar system like Europa, Enceladus, Callisto and the Methane Hydrocarbon-rich moon of Titan Saturn's biggest moon and the only other body in the Solar system with liquid oceans and a thick atmosphere like Earth.
