NY Times: Donald Trump Appears to Soften Stance on Immigration, but Not on Abortion By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS

I don't think most people understand that the goal on the far right is much larger. They not only want Roe overturned. Oh no, what they really want is to first overturn Roe and then through Congress they want a Nat'l law banning all Abortions and almost all if not all Contraceptives. They also want Griswold vs. Conn. revisited and overturned , which gave men and women the right to privacy in these matters and allowed for the legal use of CONTRACEPTIVES in the US. Most people don't know that Contraceptives were illegal in much of the country prior to Griswold. Once a National ban is in place all of this will be enforced just as the drug laws are. America is going to enter a period possibly like the 20's where Booze was banned , but this time it's going to be anything to do with sex. Porn on the Internet is also going away soon and the Internet is going to come increasingly under the eye of the Morals police and Nat'l Security goons. China's and Russia's controls are what the Right would like to see. The 1st step to end so called Net Neutrality. Then it will all go south as the Feds. under Fascists will begin to lean on the ISP's and the Media in general. Which will like it did under BV$H bend a knee and do what it's told or else.

I just attended the final class of my election course run by a SUNYA poli-sci professor. He pointed out that Trump has good assets for a president, going into his presidency. He has Congress, the Senate, and soon the Supremes. However he also has a larger list of deficits, possibly greater than any president. A few big ones are - incompetency because they don't know what they're doing and that tends to have huge ripple effects like Hurricane Katrina for example. Then there's the press, which is starting off on a bad foot with Trump who takes it all so personally. Also there's the protests, which may or may not amplify itself over time, but it's unprecedented for it to be occurring before he is even sworn in. So it's not smooth sailing to pure authoritarianism for Trump.

One of his biggest deficits is that he lost the popular vote by a large margin. When the counting is complete in a few more weeks he might have lost by as much as 3 mil. votes which would an unprecedented event in our history ( Gore won by 600K). What it would mean is no mandate no matter what he might say about his electoral College win. What I fear is another event that allows him to seize even more power than he already has. The hard right hates democracy hates it. He wants total power as a dictator no matter what he says. Can he get it? Yes. BV$H had it on 9/12. He abused it and yet he still won in 2004. This man is much more ruthless. Here's his one biggest problem he's OLD very old to be President and he is way over weight and looks pasty. He's not well or healthy no matter what his phony Drs. say. As President the real Drs. are going to have a very close look at this guy and my guess is they aren't going to like what they find.

Well, he seems to be abandoning the idea of living in the White House. He'll conduct the presidency from Trump Tower. Yeah, he is old, and he does not look in great shape. He does a lot of makeup and he makes the camera shoot him from the 3/4 right side of his face, it's all very strange. Its going to be a very contentious time. Every body seems to know this and can feel it coming. Trump doesn't know what he is doing. He's going to be asleep at the wheel like Reagan with Alzheimer's.

Will he be? I'm not so sure, but we'll see soon enough. BIGLY BROTHER is here and we all knew it BIGLY time Tuesday night. The sheeple are already is on the attack they intend to take us back to some dark time when they and only they had power. Example, an ex- friend of mine who has now completely distanced himself from me and my family just posted on Facebook an obnoxious right wing War against Xmas trope video that Trump did not too long ago. He complained how at his job he couldn't use the word Xmas. He actually buys into this phony trope that somehow there is a War against Xmas. The reality is this is part and parcel of the cultural War elements of the religious right are waging against all other faiths and creeds. My friend though who is a smart guy buys this crap. Why? Because he thinks he as a White Christian is superior and any manifestation of any other culture needs to be squashed. It's projection of their War against "the other" in our society. It's this McCarthyite crap that is going to come back no roar back and we all feel it. Friends against friends family members against family members. Tolerance dead, the party line or your friggin marginalized at first then attacked if they feel like it. Scary times have arrived and I might decide to sit this one out somewhere else.

Lots of people are thinking of sitting it out somewhere else. A friend is looking into the west coast of South America, the prices are easy. He's checking out Ireland also. I will probably stay. I mean in another sense America it's not possible to escape America.
