The Market On Friday

Good morning. It is 67 degrees and overcast here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The weather logo indicates rain today. Looking ahead the forecast shows the temperatures going into the freezing zone starting on Sunday when it might even snow. Okay, we can handle an instantaneous 50 to 60 degree temperature, it's just something we're going to have to get used to.

At 8:30 a.m. ET futures are moderately lower and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open lower.

The government just reported that the US economy added 215,000 new jobs in March. This number beats the expected 199,000, and the official US unemployment rate remains at 5%. Thanks Obama. Notice the unemployment rate in the eurozone - 10.3%. Thanks Obama.
