Bernie's Legacy Issue

It's a reasonable idea. If the top 1% are making gobs and gobs of money since the 2008 crash, why not spread a little sugar on the rest of us. It's also an odd idea though, on the other hand, because it attempts to place a societal policy, socialized as it were, on corporate crony capitalism. This would never fly in the present Senate and House but, why not keep the dream alive.

Politifact: Bernie Sanders says Wall Street tax would pay for his free tuition plan By Lauren Carroll
Sanders estimates that his plan to make undergraduate tuition at public colleges and universities free would cost about $75 billion annually. Based on his proposed College for All Act, the federal government would fund two-thirds of that cost using a tax on Wall Street trading, but participating states would have to kick in the remaining costs.
