America was once the world's Industrial powerhouse, not anymore. If you hadn't noticed it, it's now all about selling the world our lumber, oil, gas, coal , food etc. If you don't own any of these things toughshit your out of luck. Everything else is either built overseas or done there and sent back in by ship or the Internet. Americans unless they have Gov't jobs and or the few Professions or trades that can't be outsourced are stuck working at Wallymart et al. for min. wages. Not the place I grew up in.

I suspect that in comparison to other countries, the overall wealth and happiness of Americans is starting to rank lower and lower.
