I know some entertainment Techs that worked with him in AC. They said, he wasn't the nicest or easiest person to work with. Having myself booked and hosted over a thousand bands I get what their saying. Many performers are difficult and bands for the most part are jury rigged affairs and hard to deal with. So, I'm not surprised to hear that. Nevertheless, Prince was a for real genius musically, his music built from many different musical traditions was uniquely his sound.
I genuinely miss him, and I'm sorry that he's gone. It's been a heck of a year on our generation's rock stars. He struck me as a perfectionist and I can bet that getting it to sound the way he wanted it to sound from place to place created some testy situations.
