Sore Losers

NYT: The Cult Of Sore Losers by Frank Bruni
The graceless losing of 2016 owes something to this election’s particular characters. When you’re not just a man but a revolution (Sanders), you can never quit the fight or flee the front.

When you’re the Don Quixote of extreme conservatism (Cruz), you can never ditch your armor. And it’s easy to tell yourself — because it’s easy for all of us to tell ourselves — that surrendering to Trump is surrendering your patriotism.

Add HRC in 2008 to this story. She hung in to the last moment and then made a deal behind the scenes to be Sect of State and heir apparent in 8 yrs. All of which Obama kept. Bernie actually wasn't even the 1st choice on the Progressive left. Liz Warren was he only grudingly in true Bernie style decided the issues out here not being discussed were too important to simply be vanished by the MSM. Is he a bad loser for pressing on? Maybe, some would say so , but I don't.

Sure, the problem is the side act stuff that's going on. If Bernie simply pressed the issues like free college tuition, that's one thing. Unfortunately I have several Bernie supporters on Facebook and now it's a lot of accusational stuff, like someone has their finger on the election scale and somehow this is all Hillary's conspiratorial fault. That's just bs and I don't like seeing it because it's at the same level as the bottom denominator this entire year, the Rump man himself. So if he sticks to policy fine, when he goes all conspiratorial, tough shit, that's called American politics which is another heaping pile of it's own. This idea that Bernie is going to ride in and clean it all up, not even I buy that and I like the guy a lot.
