Global Warming - Cement

The process of creating cement emits upwards of 80 percent of the cement’s weight in carbon dioxide and accounts for about 5 percent of human-generated CO2 emissions annually.

I've heard this before, it seems civilization itself is a heat engine of sorts. Even clearing the land for agriculture increases the warming if done Industrially. We are going to have to chyange a whole lot of our ways of doing things going forward or else. Mother N. has laws and when you violate them even in ignorance there are consequences.

Scientists are tackling this stuff and it's phenomenal. A young person that has a scientific interest has a world of possibilities ahead by now reinventing the wheel so as not to produce a big carbon footprint.
