GOP Cuts Could Hit Your Local High School

No point in mincing words here, cuts to education is a stupid move. Even considering a cut to education demonstrates a complete lack of understanding about cause and effect. In this case it is how an educated population grows and produces versus an uneducated population and what they do not produce and how they do not grow.

The GOP regards public education as an entitlement that needs to be eliminated. You don't have to go far to find radical voices in the GOP that do not want public education.

In the hearts and minds of GOP politicians, a country filled with an ignorant and dumb population is desirable. It is easier to control stupid ignorant people, further the great chasm between the rich and poor, and channel more money into the hands of the wealthiest. The GOP has no problem with continuing the USA's decline to third world status. Punishing the poor and the middle class is a GOP favorite.

CNN: How federal spending cuts trickle down to you
The threat of cuts come at a terrible time for states and localities. Some have already been forced to make tough cuts due to sharply lower revenue levels, and increased entitlement obligations.

Earlier this month, Texas lawmakers proposed a budget that calls for a 13% hit to public education and a 7.6% drop in higher education support. Among the cuts, funding for pre-K Early Start programs would be slashed, and four community colleges would be closed. California and New York are considering similar plans.

Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, have suggested eliminating the Department of Education altogether.

Edumacation makes for a Socialistic Nation says MIchael Savage the aptly named super Reich Wing radio howler. Yes, the GOP hates anything that's Public. It wants edumacation done by the Churches like it was in the 19th century. Many in the GOP adhere to Herr Gore balls dictum about Edumacation. " We'll educate the Poles just enough so they can read our road signs so they don't get run over by our tanks heading east for Russia." The GOP version goes like this we'll educate the masses just enough so they can read the road signs so they don't get run over by our Mercedes' heading for the beach."
