This was the beginning of Punk. The Ramones led the way and then came the Sex Pistols and The Clash etc. Nuwave isn't really related to Punk it's really a mix or fusion of Rock and Reggae/Ska. It's only relationship to Punk is it's visuals.
In some ways this song reminds me of surf music. These guys have all passed away in their 50s.
