First time unemployment claims dropped below 400,000 this week. This will be regarded as good news.

I'm not surprised. There are so few jobs left now and companies are stretched thin with their remaining employees working the jobs of those who have been fired ( laid off ). This is also called a "productivity gain" by right wing econs.)
