Howlin' Wolf

Ed said...: I ran Howlin' Wolf's workshop at the Newport Folk festival in 66 or 67. I was on the sound crew, had the privilege of setting up for HW on a hot afternoon. When I noticed that he intended to crawl out through the audience on his hands and knees I sent someone running to the main stage for more mike cord. What a day, a stage made of boards on the grass, three guys in suits laying down funky chops, and Howlin' Wolf.; 2:03 AM
