Birthright Citizenship Faces Arizona
Constitution.
Well, the Republican controlled State of Arizona, now wants to bring forth legislation in direct conflict with the 14th Amendment to that very same Constitution.
Do I smell a conflict here, or possibly a little itty bitty bit of hypocrisy?

In a challenge to US Constitution’s 14th Amendment, a Senate panel in the Republican-controlled state legislature late Tuesday gave the green light to two companion bills that would deny automatic US citizenship, sometimes called "birthright citizenship," to children born to illegal immigrants.

So much for original intent etc. The Reich only farts that tune for the parts of the Constitution it likes.
The problem here is that the Tea GOP Party wants to roll back rights all over the place. They want people who don't own property off the voting rolls. So right of the bat you have to ask yourself, would they be content with abolishing the 14th amendment. The answer of course is no. They would not stop there. So they have to be confronted now.
Yes, it's time to confront these thugs and goons. If we don't do it now we'll end up living in Somalia or worse the confederacy. These folks aren't conservatives at all they're actually reactionaries. This is the counter revolution in it's true face. They've taken off the phony repub. mask. These are as you call them authoritarians. They have no interest in democracy. What they want is some kind of theocratic state where only they get to vote and everyone gets to STFU or die.
