Wal-Mart's USA sales have been dipping. My sense is that people are looking for an even cheaper way out due to the recession. So the dollar stores are picking up the slack. Wal-Mart is being undercut.
Long story short - people are poorer and are buying at cheaper alternatives.

Shit u know things are slipping fast when Wall Mart can't make a buck. Oh, wait amin. I forgot Barry Z. told us that Wall st. is booming so Happy days are here again! Yea, for the fraudsters who are rallying for their next big scam. For everyone else not so much.
I know this is an extremely telling fact - Wall Street is losing its profit in the USA. The Dollar Stores also sell a level of junk that is incredibly worse than Wal-Mart's junk!
The other telling thing is that Wal-Mart is making lots of money globally. This is the reason why US corporations are turning their backs on us. They don't need us. Can you imagine a scenario where Wal- Mart closes its US stores because they are not profitable enough compared to its global enterprise. I can't think of anything that would be the indicator of our new found third world status.
Exactly, this is the end result of the "myth" of so called globalization. Bill Clinton is now billed as "The President of the Planet." You know what, Bill Clinton can go to hell. His so called free trade policies pushed by his biggest backer then Wally-Mart have trashed what was left of our economy. Bill should move to one of his other provinces in the Int' Corporatist Empire he and his pals have created. For the rest of us it's our fate to live out our days in the faded 3rd world country called America, whose place in the NWO is to be the World's Imperial Stormtroopers. Thanks Bill good job.
