The government has released data showing that consumer spending was up in January and that incomes (incomes?) were also up in January. Now don't you feel wealthy and wise?
Sure if you take all the billionaires in the USA and average all of their vast wealth accumulation out along with the rest of us ingrates then yeah sure, it all looks better.
This is ridiculous data, nevertheless the stock market will rise for at least an hour...

The Commerce Department said spending edged up 0.2 percent (in January), the smallest increase in seven months...
Incomes rose 1.0 percent last month, the largest increase since May 2009, after increasing 0.4 percent in December.
