Egyptians Clash

There are 80 million people in Egypt. The supporters of Mubarak are now clashing with the revolt. Sounds familiar, the old conservative guard comes out to attack the revolution. Wondering what the percentages are, who supports Mubarak versus who does not.

Gulf News: Mubarak fails to quell protests with departure pledge
Protesters were seen running with their shirts or faces bloodied, some men and women in the crowd were weeping. A scent of tear gas wafted over the area, but it was not clear who had fired it.

The powers to be need a cause now and they're manufacturing it. They won't hand over power easily. This is now going to get ugly and I fear in the end in a terrible war. The people HATE Israel and watch how this gets turned against Israel in the end to reunify the nation.

As well armed as Egypt is, they are not a match for Israel. Israel is the 51st state.

I would agree that the powers in charge have to manufacture a reason to get violent and go ugly. How else can they maintain power.

Revolutionaries care little about odds sometimes. Israel has been and will continue to be used by every regime in the ME as a scapegoat for why they fail their own people. It stands there prosperous and free and that pisses of the Arabs and the Muslims who only seem to be able to enslave their own kill each other and impoverish everything they touch. Except of course for the OILY Sheiks, Mullahs, Ayatollahs and Dictators who did nothing to earn their wealth but be sitting on top of it at the right time in history.

IN terms of countries, America's greatest ally is Israel. That's just the way it is. Militarily, Israel is matched with the US military. Nothing happens to Israel.

They're all Arabs, right? They should grow up and learn to get along.
