Right Solution, Wrong Congress

The EPA has worked out a timetable for reducing greenhouse gases. The plan has been hailed by environmentalists.

So far so good.

Ah, one itty bitty sticking point arises in January when a Republican party hell bent on the world's screwiest agenda takes over in Congress.

The Republican party does not believe in greenhouse gases, its some kind of socialist liberal trick and all of the scientists in the world could get on board but they are also socialist liberals.

We can go over the angina producing reasoning here, but let's save that for after the holidays.

I would expect that we see more about this in the coming months.

CS Monitor: EPA presents plan on greenhouse gases. Can next Congress stop it?
...the US Environmental Protection Agency Thursday laid out a timetable for the nation's largest carbon emitters – power plants and refineries – to begin curbing those pollutants.

Republicans have said all year that they plan to pull out all the stops to keep the EPA from phasing in greenhouse gas (GHG) regulations beginning in 2011, saying they would damage the energy industry, raise prices, and cost jobs.

The whacka doodle right can whine and cry and demand a stop to any talk about the warming all it wants, but Mother nature and the planet won't be listening and the cold hard math of climate change will proceed forward.
