The Market On Friday

Good morning and Happy New Year's Eve. It is a cool and clear day here in Upstate NY. We made it through another year!

At 8:30 a.m. futures are descending, the dollar is down across the board, and oil is down.

Who can explain it?

Not I, I have no idea why we are into a triple negative trifecta of indicators. Hopefully evenness will prevail and the indexes will end at worst sideways as we wrap it up for 2010.

All in all, and if you are into equities, it was a pretty good year. You made some gains, take a deep breath and enjoy.

...many investors have sealed their books and are celebrating another solid year for the stock market.

Oil for February delivery slipped 14 cents to $89.70 a barrel.
