Got Crack Or H?

How about that, alcohol is the worst drug, beating out crack and heroin. It figures with our ass backwards society. I am not mincing words today, I am pissed about this coming election.

I wonder how many people will drown their election woes by getting tanked on Tuesday night. Better yet I wonder how many newly elected a-holes will celebrate their crowning and coronation by getting tanked.

I am in a bitter mood. My apologies. The country likes to bite off its face to spite its body...

CNN: Study: Alcohol 'most harmful drug,' followed by crack and heroin
Alcohol ranks "most harmful" among a list of 20 drugs -- beating out crack and heroin...

A panel of experts weighed the physical, psychological and social problems caused by the drugs and determined that alcohol was the most harmful overall...

Heroin, crack cocaine and methamphetamine were the most harmful drugs to individuals, the study says, while alcohol, heroin and crack cocaine were the most harmful to others. (the latter statement makes no sense to me)

I think the study measured harm to indivduals and to society, which though related, are completely different things. In the newspaper article you couldn't tell which exactly they were talking about.

Sure alcohol is going to be the most dangerous societally because a thousand times more people drink than do meth-amphetamine.

I'm just throwing out a possible explanation of why it seemed so confusing to me. Great headline though.

The article was a bit confusing to me as well.

I would agree I think it is about the societal and pervasive cost. I would suspect that alcohol is the most pervasive drug along with cigs. It would be interesting to know more specific numbers - how many do meth, drink, etc
