The Market On Friday

Good morning. Last night was the first time I had to wear a sweater in a long time, it was that cool out. Hey, its the weekend. I will be working on this old house. The work never stops around here.

At 7:20 a.m. stock futures are slightly up. The price of oil per barrel is up over $1.50 and this usually indicates that energy shares, the heart and soul of the market, will lift.

Otherwise, the journalists are indicating that it will be a relatively quiet day until that ameliorating and as yet unknown factor enters the equation. Right now investors seem appeased by the economy's latest indicators on jobs and the trade deficit. The DOW is presently at 10,415 and continues its oscillation between 10,000 and 10,500.

CNN: Stocks set to drift higher
...a lack of economic data on tap.

Oil futures for October delivery climbed $1.53 to $75.78 a barrel.

It was cool here along the coast last night as well. Felt nice after having the A/C on for 2 mos. Cool this morning as well. I have a dozen outside jobs to do around the house as well. Fixing some concrete steps today , yesterday it was a set of wooden steps that got repaired and a new fence put in behind my tool shed. Tomorrow, I have to go to a bachelor party for my brother-in-law near Philly. I love fall and spring and get the majority of my big outside house projects done here in those two seasons.

Yeah, this is the prime time of the year, just fantastic. I'm trying to get my kitchen done by the end of this month or so.
