DOW

Its been an unusual week on Wall Street and highly unanticipated to say the least. The markets had been steadily eroding on news of a highly feared second recession and poor economic data. Everyone was expecting the worst. In a blink some better economic data on sales, housing, and employment have brought the DOW up close to 10,500. Its a good time for a three day pause.

Looking ahead, there are relatively few economic reports for investors to digest next week and one fewer trading day on the calendar. U.S. markets will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday.
