Craig will resign on Saturday. Makes sense. Saturday is a low level news day and its a three day weekend to boot. People are out doing their summer thing and nobody's paying much attention. Actually nobody pays much attention any day.
You have to wonder who the person is that gives Craig the call that says - "Son you were good for us, and we appreciate all the things you did. But now, now its time to retire. Now don't you go off thinking you're not going to get a little something for all your effort. Make it Saturday, short and sweet. Atta Boy."

I'm sure he'll take his wide stance as its shoved up his scraggly butt.
You just got to wonder who it was that made the call to Craig that told him to resign and to do it this weekend because of the news blackout. Was it the Chairman of the Republican Party? Was it Bush, Cheney? Or was it someone behind the scenes that works as an inner circle power elite interlocutor. This is answer I want to know.
Left to his own devices, Craig would have stayed in power.
