Yes On Afghanistan, No On Closing Gitmo

Our Republican brethren are not pleased with closing Gitmo and transferring enemy combatants to the motherland.

Personally I support closing Gitmo and de-funding Afghanistan, so now what.

One would suspect that Afghanistan will get surge funded, that's a given right. Gitmo is a political wedge issue. The notion that Gitmo detainees on American soil somehow spoils American hegemony and integrity is poor and weak. Get real.
